Welcome to the School Games Active Assembly!

The School Games encourages schools across the country to use this as a resource to motivate and inspire pupils to get active!

This assembly features short talks from representatives from Youth Sport Trust and Sport England about the upcoming ‘home’ Commonwealth Games, followed by an interactive Q&A and physical activity session for the children, hosted by our guest athletes.

The hosts are:

– Ali Oliver MBE, CEO of the Youth Sport Trust
– Jayne Molyneux, Director of Children and Young People in Sport England
– Steve Frew, Former Commonwealth Gymnastic Athlete
– Jenny Wallwork, Former Commonwealth Badminton Player
– Grace Harvey, Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Silver Medallist

The Assembly demonstrates how the School Games will unite inspiration from the Commonwealth Games with the boost in investment it has received from Sport England, via National Lottery funding to provide positive sport experiences to motivate more inactive young people than ever before.

The School Games encourages you to use this recording in your school at a time which suits you. The children and young people will be able to follow along much like those in this video.
